INDIA, a young country with an old mentality

Flipping through the newspaper I see all the things that should have been left far behind in history: Cases of casteism, the whole anti love marriage shenanigans and inter-caste marriages, inter-caste wars; these are only a few stated out of the many. It’s sad, for a country that boasts of a rich and diverse culture and intriguing history that we still cannot boast of people, open minded people who welcome all irrespective of their castes or religion or origin. It is sad that we still haven’t had the mental revolution which guns down to the most basic thing, the most basic problem and the most basic solution – Our mentality. There are still a lot of people who are living in the times of when the caste system ruled, people who still think that girls are meant for the kitchens, people who are not truly religious because of their intolerance to other religions, people who just oppose the whole idea of letting the changing times bring in even the slightest mental revolution so that they can open up to a world with far more possibilities, where people CAN co-exist, where we aren’t fighting with ourselves our families.
All this is possible; all we need is a mental revolution. A change in mindset with the change in time because agree or not it is the mentality of a person that makes the whole difference. It’s the mentality that makes you or breaks you. It is the mentality to what it all comes down to in the end.
If we want to prosper and walk ahead, we have to be on the same page. Our mind's got to be in sync with the time, not too far ahead, not back in time just the right time.
There's a time for change and the time is now.

We're bound in chains, we are held back.
What we need now is a mental revolution to break-free, to be the young India we are.
